Can I try the Aloe vera products first?

Yes! You can order the Aloe vera products that are part of the adoption program directly
from our webshop. Please note that the body lotion is only available in 250ml during
adoption, as producing 500ml would require too many leaves from your plant.

For how long can I keep my Aloe vera plant?
-
For as long as you like! After 3 years of adoption, the plant officially becomes yours,
and you can even take it home if you'd like to keep it indoors. Adoption renews
annually; you will receive an email after the September harvest with the renewal
details. If you decide to stop after 3 years, you may collect your plant at the
plantation within 3 months of cancellation.

How do you harvest the leaves?

We harvest all leaves by hand during the period when they are at their thickest. The
best time is autumn, as the plant has stored plenty of water and nutrients over the
summer. You'll receive your products during the first week of October. If you adopt
three plants, you'll also receive a second and third delivery of three chosen products
during the March and June harvests.

Will I receive Aloe vera products from my own plant?

Yes. Since the plants are at least 3 years old, you can expect around 15 thick leaves
each year - enough to create 3 Aloe vera products. The only exception is the body
lotion,
which comes in 250ml instead of 500ml.

Will I be able to visit my plant?
-
Yes, absolutely! We'd love to welcome you to the finca and show you your plant. Please
let us know at least 7 days in advance so we can arrange your visit. Participants of the
Buddhaloe retreat also receive a one-year plant adoption as part of the experience.

Can I gift someone an Aloe vera plant?
-
Yes! During the adoption process, you can enter a delivery address and even add a second
address if you're sending it as a gift. You can gift either a single plant or a family
of three plants.

When will I see the first picture of my plant, and when will the name stone be
placed?

As soon as you adopt a plant, we prepare your certificate and a hand-painted name stone,
created by a local artist. Before the harvest, we take a photo of your plant and place
the engraved stone next to it. You will receive both the photo and the stone along with
your harvest in the first week of October, March, or June.

Are you certified with the Organic Farming label?

Our Aloe vera is certified organic under the EU Organic Farming label.

How many plants can I adopt?

You can adopt either 1 or 3 plants per adoption. If your plants produce Aloe vera kids,
we'll offer you the chance to adopt them too once they reach 3 years of age.

Can I receive Aloe vera leaves to make my own products?
-
Yes. If you prefer, you can receive up to 3 leaves per plant instead of finished
products. You can also purchase additional leaves from our webshop (minimum order 5kg).
We also offer ready-made, naturally preserved Aloe vera gel in our webshop.
Olive oil

Can I try the olive oil first?
-
Absolutely! Order Yes! You can order a 250ml or 500ml bottle Nevaillo olive oil from our
webshop if you want to try it before adopting a tree. You can also buy our two types of
olive oil, Nevaillo and Picqual, on the markets presented on the website.

How long can I keep my olive tree?
-
As long as you like! Our trees date back to 1830 and have many years ahead. If a tree
gets sick or dies, we'll replace it with one of the same age and variety.

How are the olives harvested?
-
All olives are harvested in November. Want to join in? Let us know 4 weeks in advance or
join our Olive Oil Adventure Retreat to harvest your own olives and take home your
personal harvest.

Will the oil come only from my tree?
-
Not exactly. Adoption is personal, but olives are harvested collectively. Your adoption
guarantees 5 liters of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, even if your tree's harvest is smaller
than expected.

Can I visit my tree?

Yes! We'd love to show you your tree. Please book at least 7 days in advance.

How much does an olive tree produce?
-
Our centuries-old trees produce exceptional olives, though harvests vary. We guarantee
25 kg of olives per tree - about 5 liters of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Can I gift an olive tree?
-
Yes! You can select a delivery address for yourself or as a gift. Full adoptions also
make a unique present.

When will I see my tree's photo and name tag?
-
After adoption, we create your certificate and name tag, crafted by a local woodcarver.
Before the harvest, we'll send a photo of your tree with its plaque. Your first photo
and harvest arrive in the first week of December.

Is your olive oil certified organic?
-
Yes! Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil carries the EU Organic Farming label.
An adoption last for 12 months at a time and are paid annually in advance.
In connection to your third delivery, you will receive a request to continue with your
adoption period for another year.
